July 14 - Middleburg:
Mandolinist Danny Knicely will be playing a variety of hot original and traditional music featuring an all-star line up including fiddler Nate Leath, bassist Ralph Gordon, and Zan McLeod on bouzouki and guitar. Floutist and percussionist /percussive dancer extraordinare Matthew Olwell will be adding both exciting rhythms and a remarkable visual component to this performance.
July 22 - Leesburg:
Mandolinist Danny Knicely will be showcasing the Oretea brothers. Originally from Bolivia, Cesar and Jose studied Flamenco guitar and singing in Spain. Their soulful guitaristry and blood harmonies are powerful and moving. This landmark performance, in English and Spanish, will include Ralph Gordon on bass and music ranging from lively gypsy rumbas to hot originals and other melodies from Europe, Brazil, Bolivia, and Appalachia.
July 27 - Culpeper:
Danny Knicely will blend the mandolin with vibraphone, guitar, bass, and drums featuring Dave Morgan on vibes and drums, Bert Carlson on guitar, and Ralph Gordon on Bass. This concert will include jazz along with some
other styles of music, highlighting the virtuosity and versatility of these great musicians.
