Washington's favorite party band, The Grandsons perform a groovy, unique blend of rhythm and blues, rockabilly, country, swing and vintage pop. Bringing with them a pawnshop of instruments, The Grandsons feature vocalist-guitarist-trumpeter Alan MacEwen, DC blues veteran Matthew Sedgley on drums and vocals, Chris Watling on saxophones and accordian, and Eric Bowers on upright bass and vocals.
With countless Washington Area Music Association 'Wammie' Awards under their belt, and sold-out performances at the Kennedy Center, the Barns of Wolf Trap, and Austin's South By Southwest Festival, The Grandsons have been appropriately titled "the hardest working band in DC" by the Washington Post.
