An underground legend on the Baltimore music scene, the Junkyard Saints performs its own brand of “Roots Party Music,” blending New Orleans R&B, Zydeco, Latin, Ska, Jump Blues and Mardi Gras Funk. The seven-member band perform with accordion, keyboards, sax, guitar, trombone, trumpet, bass, drums, percussion, and vocals.
The group has appeared at the Cajun Crawfish Festival in Fort Lauderdale with Beausoleil, Boozoo Chavis and Geno Delafose, and has performed at Baltimore's Inner Harbor for its Summer Concert Series and New Year's Eve Celebrations, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Annual Galas, the American Visionary Art Museum's July 4th Bash, and First Night Annapolis. Most recently, Junkyard Saints received two “Wammie” awards from the Washington Area Music Association for “Best Roots Rock Group” and “Artist of the Year,” 2007.
